Executive Director, Le Monde International Charter School Foundation

Position Overview:

The Executive Director of Le Monde International Charter School Foundation is the senior leadership position responsible for leading and managing the philanthropic and external operations, fundraising initiatives, marketing, and grant writing of the Foundation. The individual in this role will work closely with the foundation board of directors, school administrators, staff, and community stakeholders to advance the Foundation’s mission and support the educational goals of Le Monde International School, Public Charter of Norman.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement a strategic vision and plan that aligns with the foundation's mission and educational objectives. Provide leadership in setting organizational goals, priorities, and ensuring successful execution.


Fundraising and Development:

Oversee all fundraising activities, including annual campaigns, major gifts, grants, and special events/event planning while cultivating relationships with donors, community partners, and potential supporters to secure financial support for the foundation's programs and initiatives. Develop and maintain a diverse funding base to ensure the sustainability of the foundation's operations.


Community Engagement:

Serve as the primary liaison between the foundation, the school, and the broader community. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, alumni, local businesses, and government entities.

 

Board Development:

Collaborate with the Le Monde International School Foundation Board of Directors to develop policies, strategies, and initiatives that support the external priorities of Le Monde Foundation’s mission. Provide regular updates and reports to the board, seeking input and guidance on key decisions. Provide leadership on establishing a Foundation to support Le Monde International School Foundation by developing policies, procedures, board creation, and more. 


Financial Management:

Develop and manage the foundation's budget in collaboration with the board and ensure sound financial practices. Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for cost-effective measures.

 

Program Management:

Oversee the implementation of foundation programs and initiatives, ensuring they align with the school's priorities and contribute to the overall mission. Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.

 

Public Relations and Marketing:

Develop and implement marketing strategies to raise awareness of the foundation's mission and activities. Utilize various communication channels to promote the foundation's impact and successes.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).

Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, preferably in an educational setting.

Strong fundraising experience, including successful donor cultivation and grant writing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Strategic thinking and planning skills.

Financial management expertise.
